At a time of great poverty as the flood of people migrating from Europe had reached its peak, Friedrich Heutelbeck established his company for the production of piano components.

A year later - in 1848 - Germany's first democratic parliament held its inaugurating meeting at Paulskirche in Frankfurt am Main.

Versailles

Julius Klinke joined his stepfather's company and modernised and expanded production.

The German Empire was founded a year before in 1871 in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles and Wilhelm I was pronounced emperor.

"Kaiser Wilhelm der Große"

Machine production was introduced at an early stage to replace manufacturing by hand which was still commonplace at the time.

The high-speed steam-ship "Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse" was the first German ship to win the prestigious "Blue Band" for the fastest crossing of the Atlantic. A symbol for the change to a modern industrial society and the growth in world trade.

After the 1st World War, relationships with main foreign markets had broken off. The production range was expanded to include screws and turned parts.

1923 saw the peak of inflation in Germany. The world-wide recession brought sorrow and poverty to millions.

Production came to a halt after the 2nd World War. A new start was made during the period of the "Economic Wonder".

After the catastrophe of the 2nd World War, the currency reform of 1948 and the foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1949 provided the basis for a development of prosperity and freedom that had never been seen before.

Environment protection

Photovoltaic facility

The whole company is heated and refrigerated by means of geothermic heat and refrigeration technology.
The energy required is generated by a photovoltaic facility which was the largest in Märkischer Kreis when it was put into operation.
Thanks to this facility, the environment will be spared a volume of as much as 250,000 kg of CO2.
